Tears
Saarah Khanam
These tears won’t go away,
These tears threaten to fall,
These tears are my sadness,
And these tears remind me of my pain.
It reminds me of loss,
The loss that brings me to my knees,
When I hear of it.
What else can I do but cry?
I don’t have the guts to do anything.
I lost myself in this eternal shower of pain.
These tears I wish to come back,
These tears are let out freely,
These tears are my happiness,
And these tears remind me that
I can achieve anything.
It reminds me of the joys in life,
The joy that I feel when
I accomplish something,
I want it to be only happiness,
And I will fight to support that.
I lost myself in this world of gaiety.
Tears are the reason I go on,
Whether it be good or bad,
Tears are what the heart can’t express.
So pick yourself up, And look,
Know that you’re going to achieve,
Those tears of joy,
Because the tears in the eyes of a person,
Is what I fear; the nightmare that haunts me.
