Mother’s light

By Abdul Malik

In the rift of piercing rays

emerging from a gloomy subtle state

Gaining consciousness

moment by moment

as time passes,

like it ever passes

Feeling the power of lights energy

Glowing inside and outside me

In the warmth under my duvet

heart pounding beat by beat

Something hurts

Something tremendous

missing inside me

Mother passed away just a week early

My Himalaya vanished suddenly

A strong mountain once stood over me

With her power protection presence and glory

Past is flashing in front of me

Waking up it’s six thirty

Before the sun cracks the dark

and splits my chest apart

I prayed my 2 rakat
