Let’s have an update this Monday April 27. Confined for several weeks, France keeps on setting up measures to curb the pandemic. Confinement will last up to May 11th at least. According to the latest report, the number of hospitalizations and patients in ICU keeps on decreasing. In 24 hours, 242 have been reported. Here are the latest news.
In France, according to the latest report from the health authorities as for the COVID-19 pandemic, about 124,575 cases have been reported and 22,856 people have died (14,202 deaths in hospitals and 8,654 in social-medical centers such as nursing homes). This Sunday April 26, 152 deaths have been recorded in hospitals (189 yesterday) in 24 hours, and 90 deaths in social-medical centers for a total of 242 deaths in France in 24 hours.
4,682 people are reportedly in ICU (4,725 yesterday), the number decreases for the 18th day in a row.
It’s currently Ile-de-France that counts the most hospitalized people (11,570), the most deaths (5,578) and 1,891 people in ICU (1913 yesterday), followed by Grand-Est with 4,246people hospitalized and 2,737 deaths. Among the most impacted French regions, we also have Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes with 2,694 people hospitalized and 1,226 deaths, Hauts-de-France with 2,395 people hospitalized and 1,291 deaths, Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur with 1,693 people hospitalized and 631 deaths, Burgundy with 1,218 people hospitalized and 797 deaths, and last but not least, Occitanie with 728 people hospitalized and 362 deaths.
This Sunday April 26, Covid-19 virus infected 2,934,141 people and killed 205,142 people in the world.
